Sure, the Confluence hometown of Red Wing, Minnesota, has plenty to offer out-of-towners. Frequent eagle sightings. Majestic Barn Bluff. The giant boot at the Red Wing Shoe Company flagship store. The Pottery Place. The town is a daytripper’s dream. But there’re no butts about the increasingly popular appeal of one attraction: the rear-end in our window. Since January, the Confluence Cow Keister has greeted everyone who walks along Main Street with an air of derriere.
Allow us to explain.
While every job offers its own unique challenge, sometimes we find a project we can really get behind. When we were conscripted to create the theme, look and materials for a client’s ag-related holiday party, we didn’t take the task sitting down. We got to the bottom of an idea that would make for a lively and memorable evening. We birthed the back-half of Bessie.
The party featured plenty of fun and games, but to claim a much-deserved prize, partygoers had to get a handle on our heifer’s heiney. Yep, the prize bag was hidden where the sun don’t shine. Some winners were a little hesitant to get their hands dirty, while others were disturbingly eager. Everyone, semi-disgusted or not, agreed that they hadn’t seen (or reached into) anything much like it.
So when the party was over, Bessie’s booty went on display in the Confluence storefront, where she continues to be a bigger hit than Baby Got Back. Tourists and Red Wing residents alike constantly take photos of and with our ruminant rump. Come see us and take your photo. All we ask is that you tag us on Facebook and remember to give us a call if you really want to inject your brand with creative, positive change.
Or if you just need a cow butt built.
