Taking care of a trusted brand

Tuesday, May 21st, 2013

We recently applied the Confluence branding process to the Accurate Home Care brand to bring it to life in several different mediums. To ensure that our messages were consistently on-target, we utilized market research to identify and develop key messages that will resonate with each audience. The results are communications that tell a cohesive story to a number of audiences, from potential clients to referral sources to current and future employees.

The campaign is rolling out now, and we’re pleased with the final products. See for yourself!

Tackling an internship with style

Friday, August 31st, 2012

We’d like to send a huge ‘Thanks!’ to Larissa Huber, our summer intern. While on her three-month hiatus from triple-majoring in communications, PR and marketing at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Larissa impressed us with her organizational skills and dazzled us with her innovative clothing designs. While some of us can barely brew the morning coffee wearing matching socks, Larissa whipped up top-notch PowerPoint presentations, organized spreadsheets like a pro and kept her projects chugging, while creating her own custom-designed ensembles in her spare time.

We hope she learned a few things in her first foray into the ‘real’ world of marketing, and that our myriad ‘creative’ arguments didn’t send her hightailing into the fashion industry. Larissa, you were a sorely needed breath of ultra-trendy fresh air, and you are already missed.

A hot time in the old town

Friday, July 6th, 2012

The Fourth of July in Red Wing, Minnesota, was a smokin’ hot time. The temperature careened toward three-digitville even after sundown, and the humidity was hot on its heels. Despite the antagonistic elements, a few members of the Confluence crew made the best possible use of our downtown digs and set up shop on the roof to take in our town’s patriotic pyrotechnic performance. With a full moon looking on, the historic St. James Hotel in the foreground and the mighty Mississippi moistly mimicking the aerial array of iridescent eruptions, it can be argued that we had the best possible seats in the universe for Fourth of July fun. And you’d be right.

And the best part of the night? No traffic jam when the show was over.

The Red Wing fireworks were illuminating.

Seeing red.

Fantastic finale.

A refreshed website for a refreshing organization

Tuesday, August 16th, 2011

The Villa Maria Retreat and Conference Center is the perfect setting to renew your spirit, retreat from life’s distractions, or reconnect with nature. To convey what a refreshing experience the Villa Maria can be, the center’s website needed a refresher of its own.

Working closely with the Villa Maria staff and board, we designed, photographed, wrote and built  a website that accurately shows all the natural beauty the Villa Maria’s campus has to offer.

Check out the site at villamariaretreats.org. Or, if you know of  a group looking for a quiet place to retreat, a family in need of a beautiful setting for a reunion, or anyone just looking to get away, get back to basics and enjoy the simpler things in life, click here.
